What Do The Numbers 40, 22, 7, 276, 6 and 3 All Have In Common?

There will be 40 Teams representing 22 Clubs from 7 Regions playing 276 Games over the course of 6 Weeks to decide 3 Champions in the 2015 JPIL!

Junior Premier Hockey Organizers are pleased to announce that the Junior Premier Indoor League kicks off on December 27 for the fourth consecutive year.

The U-16 and U-19 divisions will compete over six weekends at the Sportsplex in Feasterville, Pa or the 422 Sportsplex in Pottstown, Pa. The U-14 division will compete over four weekends at the Marple Sports Arena, Broomall, PA. All clubs will be competing for bragging rights to be crowned the next Junior Premier Indoor League Champion.

With the good news from USA FH that all divisions at NIT will now be playing 2 @ 20 minutes games, we have also decided to have the U-14 play 2 @ 20 minutes halves bringing it in line with our other two divisions that have been playing this FIH format for the past three years.

Participation in the Junior Premier Indoor League provides athletes and coaches with a high level of competition while preparing them for success at two upcoming USA Field Hockey events, the National Indoor Qualifiers and the National Indoor Tournament.

“It’s great to see field hockey growing across seven regions with the aide of the Junior Premier Indoor League,” said Steve Locke, USA Field Hockey Executive Director. “Established for over two years now, the high-tier league not only develops strong indoor athletes, but also coaches, umpires and technical staff. USA Field Hockey wishes all 40 teams success this year and good luck!”

The U-16 andU-19 Clubs were identified and invited to participate in the League based on performance at the 2014 National Indoor Tournament (NIT), the 2014 Junior Premier Indoor League and as a host site of the League. The U-14 was on a first come basis.
