JPOL 2018 kicked-off this weekend with over 40 Clubs representing eight Regions!

The Junior Premier Outdoor League (JPOL), that runs under the umbrella of Junior Premier Hockey (JPH) was created by Nigel Traverso and Rachael Bloemker in 2011. Its objective is to run organized, competitive outdoor leagues in each region across the United States whereby youth clubs and their membership have the opportunity to compete against each other on a regular basis.

This league is played annually during the spring months starting in April with the Championships held on the first or second weekend of June. Participation is open to all youth clubs in North America. Clubs will participate within their respective regions in three age divisions, U14, U16, U19.

The 2018 season will take place with U16 & U19 divisions in the following regions – Region 1-4 Northeast/New York/Canada, Region 5 Pennsylvania, Region 6 New Jersey, Region 7 Chesapeake, and Region 8 South.

In 2017, JPOL welcomed clubs from Region 1-4 Northeast/New York/Canada that played in a one weekend pilot tournament. JPH is excited to announce that we will continue with a 2018 JPOL in this vast region during the weekend of June 2-3 at UMass Lowell.

JPOL is once again hosting a U14 League with clubs participating from Regions 5 to7 over six competition dates. In addition to the U14 league, Region 8 is adding its own U14 Division, a first for the event. In its first edition, these Clubs will have a chance to compete with their U14’s over the R8 Championship weekend at the Regional Training Center in Virginia Beach on June 2-3.
