Event Format & Pipeline

Junior Premier Hockey hosts a series of indoor events throughout the winter season to create a competition pipeline. Our indoor events now include JPIL (Junior Premier Indoor League), JPI Challenge, JPI Tournaments.

JPIL has U14, U16 & U19 age divisions, the latter two being invite only. They are our largest and most competitive events comprised of a fixed set of participating clubs who compete against each other for the duration of the 6-date season. League champions are determined via a playoff structure on the 6th and final competition date, held every year the weekend prior to NITs.

JPIC is a smaller league event, again with a fixed set of participating clubs who compete against each other for the duration of the 3-date season. Top performers at JPIC will receive automatic invitations to next year’s JPIL Invitational.

JPIT are one-time tournaments with a new set of participating clubs in each event. The purpose of JPIT is to introduce clubs to JPH events and to bring JPH events to areas less accesible to our leagues.

All of our JPI events require limited and fixed rosters so as to standardize those competing in each event.
