JPIL Event Format & Pipeline

Junior Premier Hockey (JPH) hosts a series of indoor events throughout the winter season. These events are under the umbrella of JPIL (Junior Premier Indoor League) and now include JPIL Invitational U16 & U19 (Junior Premier Indoor League), JPIL U14 and JPI Tournaments.   • All JPIL events are USA FH sanctioned
  • All matches are 40-min (2 periods of 20-min)
  • All matches are played on sport court, hard court, or a multi sport surface
  • All clubs, participants & coaches must be USA FH members in good standing for the duration of the event
  • Players may play up two (2) age divisions
  • Players may play for more than one age division on any day/weekend provided they are listed on each age division’s Team Roster
  • Team Roster verification required prior to the start of the season
  • Team Rosters remain fixed for the entire course of the season/event
  • Club affiliation not required
  • College players are not eligible to participate
  • All clubs will be scheduled and expected to play on each of the listed competition dates per the JPH Commitment of Competition

JPIL INVITATIONAL

JPIL Invitational consists of U14, U16 & U19 age divisions, the latter two being invite only. They are our largest and most competitive events comprised of a fixed set of participating clubs who compete against each other for the duration of the 6-date season. League champions are determined via a playoff structure on the 6th and final competition date, held every year the weekend prior to NITs. Top performers at JPIL will receive automatic invitations to next year’s JPIL Invitational.

JPIL U16 & U19

  • U16 & U19 age divisions
  • Invitation Only based on prior performace
  • International League format
  • Registration is limited to one (1) team per club, per age division
  • Twelve (12) club maximum per age division
  • Six (6) Saturday or Sunday competition dates running from December through February
  • Venue is 422 Sportsplex in Pottstown, Pa
  • Round-robin with final ranking knock-out Championship
  • 13 matches guaranteed based on maximum participation
  • Top performing clubs will receive automatic invitations to the next year
  • Lowest performing clubs will be relegated to JPIC the next year
  • Girls only

JPIL U14

  • U14 age division
  • Open Registration – All USA FH member clubs are invited to participate
  • International league format
  • Registration is limited to one (1) team per club, exceptions considered upon request
  • 24 team maximum
  • Six (6) Saturday or Sunday competition dates running from December through February
  • Venues are located in PA & NJ based on facility availability
  • Round-robin with final ranking knock-out Championship
  • 12 match minimum guaranteed
  • Top performing clubs will receive automatic invitations to JPIL U16 Invitational the following year

JPI TOURNAMENTS (JPIT)
JPIT’s are Saturday/Sunday weekend-long tournaments. A separate registration must be processed for each JPIT event. The purpose of JPIT is to introduce clubs to JPH events and to bring JPH events to areas less accesible to our larger leagues while still providing a quality competition.

  • Eight (8) team maximum per age division
  • One Saturday/Sunday tournament weekend, location varies
