The final round of pool play concluded yesterday and the Clubs that will be competing in the Championship games have been decided

In this Round Robin format where everyone plays each other, and after four days of competitive hockey by some of the best Indoor playing Clubs and players in the country, the top four clubs have been decided.

We witnessed 599 goals being scored in a total of 66 Pool games. The top Goal Scorer was Shannon Scavelli from Hudson Valley with a total of 27 goals of which twenty-six were from the field of play. She was followed
closely by Gabrielle Major and Heather Morris both from Xcalibur FHC with 24 goals each.

On Saturday, February 25, all Clubs will play to decide their final ranking. After pool play Clubs were ranked 1 thru 12 and will be separated in three groupings for Saturday’s games. Those ranked 1 thru 4 will play for the Championship and those ranked 9 – 12 will play to avoid the Cellar.

The clubs that will be playing for the 2012 Princess Junior Premier Indoor Challenge Trophy are, Xcalibur FHC, Hudson Valley FH, Jersey Intensity FHC and Key State FHC. The other 8 Clubs will be playing for their final ranking position. All Clubs will play two games.

The first game starts at 10:15 AM and the Championship will be played at 3:35 PM on Saturday, February 25.

Final Ranking is very important because it could be the deciding factor in the clubs receiving an invitation to return next year and compete in the 2013 Junior Premier Indoor League.
