Xcalibur FHC is safe and will defend its Crown!

At the conclusion of round four and with one round of pool play left, the only Club in both the U-16 and U-19 divisions to have secure a spot in the Championship is Xcalibur FHC. They are undefeated after nine games with two remaining. Eight other Clubs out of the remaining eleven in both the U-16 and U-19 Division will be playing for the other top three spots and play for the Championship with a chance to be crowned the 2013 Princess Champions on February 23rd.

The final round of pool play will take place on Monday, February 18th at the Sportsplex in Pottstown, PA and we are expecting a very exciting conclusion as clubs compete to be in the top bracket or to stay out of the bottom.

Not only do we have a race to see which Club will be seeded 1st and which will be seeded 12th, we also have a hotly contested battle to see who will be awarded the Princess Most Goals Award. In both divisions, Xcalibur has scored the most goals as a team, but it is Spark who has produced the top scorers with two Spark players having the same number of goals.

The U-16 Division is led by Jessica Valvano of SPark with twenty-seven goals followed by Erin, Shanahan of The Gaels and Corey Mayer of Mystx United with twenty and seventeen goals respectively.

In the U-19 Division, we saw Marissa Balleza of SPark take over the lead from Tara Vittese of Spirit of USA, with twenty-seven goals and Tara who has nineteen.

So what an exciting finish we are expecting on the last day of pool play on February 18th as Clubs compete for the highest seeding possible. The top four ranked clubs will compete for the Championship while the other Clubs will play for ranking positions 5th thru 12th.

Final Ranking is very important because it could be a deciding factor when the invitations are sent out to Clubs inviting them to compete in the 2014 Junior Premier Indoor League.

So come on down and show your support for the league and your favorite Club on the last day of pool play on February 18th and then again on the Championship day Saturday, February 23rd when the 2013 winners will be presented with the Princess JPIL Challenge Trophies.
