JPIL General Information

Junior Premier Hockey is pleased to announce the expansion of the Junior Premier Indoor pipeline to provide more playing and qualification opportunities to the existing JPIL platform . The 2019 season welcomes the JPI Challenge and JPI Tournaments to the line-up. A brief description of each event and its Invitation Criteria is outlined below.

JPIL Invitational – U16 & U19 Divisions

    JPIL Invitational is a USA FH Sanctioned event and forms the highest level of the JPH indoor pipeline. Clubs are selected based on performance to compete at a high level in an international league format. The top performing clubs will receive automatic invitations and the lowest performing clubs will be relegated and invited to the Challenge the following year. The goal is to help prepare all participants for success at major indoor championships, especially the National Indoor Tournament Qualifiers (NITQ) and the National Indoor Tournament (NIT).

JPIL U14 Division

    JPIL U14 is a USA FH Sanctioned event open to USA FH member clubs willing to compete at a high level and forms part of the JPH indoor pipeline. The U14 Division is structured in an international league format whereby the top performing clubs will be promoted and invited to participate in the JPIL U16 Invitational the following year. The goal is to help prepare all participants for success at the National Indoor Tournament (NIT) and to provide a qualification opportunity to the elite JPIL Invitational event.

JPI Challenge – U16 & U19 Divisions

    JPI Challenge is a USA FH Sanctioned event open to all USA FH member clubs and forms part of the JPH indoor pipeline. The Challenge is structured in an international league format whereby the top performing clubs will be promoted and invited to participate in the JPIL Invitational the following year. The goal is to help prepare all participants for success at the National Indoor Tournament Qualifiers (NITQ), the National Indoor Tournament (NIT), and to provide a qualification opportunity to the elite JPIL Invitational event.

JPI Tournaments – U14, U16, & U19 Divisions

    JPI Tournaments are USA FH Sanctioned events open to all USAFH member clubs and forms the base level of the JPH indoor pipeline. Each tournament is a two-day (Sat/Sun) event of 40min matches (2 x 20min halves) structured in an international format and held at various locations. Its goal is to prepare all participants for success at the National Indoor Tournament Qualifiers (NITQ) and/or the National Indoor Tournament (NIT), as well as, provide a JPIL experience to teams who are not able to commit to multiple weekends of league competition.
